Certified Nurse Assistant CNA

JOB TITLE:       Certified Nurse Assistant CNA

JOB HOURS:     2:00 pm – 10:00pm Rotating Days



Responsible to:    Acute-ER and Senior Living Nurse Managers

Supervises:           None

Interrelationships:          Works cooperatively with all hospital & clinic departments, medical staff, patients and visitors.



To provide basic care to patients, as well as assist them in activities of daily living under the direction and supervision of RNs and LPNs within the organization. 



High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferable.


Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in the State of Kansas or start the CNA course within 90-days of employment as approved by the Chief Nursing Officer and availability of the CNA course. CPR certified.


Physical Demands: 

Occasional prolonged standing and walking. Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.  Motor coordination and manual dexterity, lifting supplies and equipment up to 25 pounds daily. Occasionally lifts, positions and transfer patient with assistance, up to and occasionally in excess of 50 lbs. Normal eye sight and hearing, with or without corrective lenses and/or hearing aid.
